The role:

 

The Senior Client Accountant will work closely with a Manager on financial tasks to be executed for the clients. Under the guidance of a Manager he/she will be responsible for bookkeeping and management accounts preparation for UK incorporated SMEs.

 

Competently carry out duties in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, service levels and company standards so as to meet with business expectations, with the support of other members of the team, when required.

 

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Processing of primary accounting entries, to include: purchase and sales ledger entry, posting bank payments and receipts, bank reconciliations;
  • Preparation of supplier invoice payment runs and reviewing ledgers to ensure no duplicated payments;
  • Preparation and posting of payroll journals and nominal journals;
  • First draft preparation of fixed asset register, accruals and prepayment schedules;
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Listing queries for Manager to follow up;
  • Assistance with preparation of requests from auditors;
  • Assistance with preparation of Regulatory returns;
  • Understanding VAT from a data entry standpoint and the different types reported from invoices;
  • Assistance with the gathering and analysis of information and preparation of forms P11Ds and PSAs

  • Partly or Fully Qualified ACCA or Degree Holder
  • About 3-4 years relevant working experience, preferably in accountancy and knowledge of IFRS
